A bridge must leave the nozzle, span open space and solidify quickly enough to stay relatively straight. Temperature, cooling, flow, speed and bridge direction all matter.
How do you recognize it?
- Sagging bridges
- Rough underside
- Strands detach or become uneven
Common causes
- Too hot
- Insufficient cooling
- Poor bridge flow
- Inappropriate bridge speed
- Bad bridge direction
What should you check first?
- Tune bridge settings separately.
- Increase cooling where the material allows it.
- Inspect bridge direction and span in the slicer preview.
