Arachne does not rely only on fixed-width extrusion lines. It can make lines narrower or wider within limits, which often improves thin walls, small features and awkward gaps.
How do you recognize it?
- Not a defect — visible in preview as variable line widths
- Thin features may be preserved better than with fixed walls
Common causes
- Used by the slicer to fit geometry with adaptive line widths
What should you check first?
- Compare Arachne and Classic in preview.
- Inspect dimensional behavior on critical parts.
- Do not assume every model benefits equally.
