A wall-generation strategy that varies extrusion line width to fit geometry more intelligently.

Illustration for Arachne

Arachne does not rely only on fixed-width extrusion lines. It can make lines narrower or wider within limits, which often improves thin walls, small features and awkward gaps.

How do you recognize it?

  • Not a defect — visible in preview as variable line widths
  • Thin features may be preserved better than with fixed walls

Common causes

  • Used by the slicer to fit geometry with adaptive line widths

What should you check first?

  1. Compare Arachne and Classic in preview.
  2. Inspect dimensional behavior on critical parts.
  3. Do not assume every model benefits equally.
