Flush into Infill is a multi-material strategy that reuses required transition material inside suitable internal regions of the model. It can reduce external waste, but only when color bleed, polymer compatibility, transparency and part function are not compromised.
How do you recognize it?
- Less external purge waste
- Possible color show-through on thin or light walls
- Possible mixed-material regions when polymers are not suitable
Common causes
- The slicer reuses unavoidable purge inside existing geometry
- Enough internal volume is available
What should you check first?
- Use only with compatible materials.
- Inspect thin/light walls and transparent parts critically.
- Do not under-purge simply because the material is redirected into infill.
