Who is responsible for the content?

Dennis Roy is responsible for LayerCompass and its German sister project LayerKompass. Articles use the author name LayerCompass Editorial Team as the project identity, not as a claim of a multi-person testing department.

His practical equipment includes a Sovol SV08, Bambu P1S with AMS, Elegoo Saturn 3 resin printer, and Creality Otter and Raptor Pro scanners. Projects include helmets, brackets, enclosure parts and reconstruction of small technical components. Owning this equipment does not mean every product discussed here has been tested personally.

Distinguishing experience, research and examples

A hands-on experiment is described as such only when a specific setup and an observed result are available. Documented software features and manufacturer statements are research sources. Illustrative examples with assumed dimensions are labeled as examples, not measurements. Uncertainty is not filled with invented test results.

AI-assisted workflow

LayerCompass may use AI-assisted tools for research support, structure, language editing, brainstorming and illustrative graphics. AI output is not treated as an independent technical source.

Technical statements are editorially reviewed and, where model-specific functions, maintenance instructions, compatibility, safety or current software behavior matter, checked against suitable primary sources such as manufacturer documentation and official project documentation.

Illustrations

Some images and illustrations are created with AI assistance. They are primarily illustrative and may not depict a real product, exact machine or dimensionally accurate technical situation.

Editorial responsibility

AI is a tool for LayerCompass, not a replacement for technical judgment. Current manufacturer instructions remain authoritative for model-specific maintenance and safety.
